“[Larry] Johnson was released by the Kansas City Chiefs last week after a tenure that included four instances in which he was accused of assaulting women.”
“But outside of having his reputation tarnished, being benched and released, there have been no devastating consequences. Indeed, Johnson is being rewarded. He goes from a 2-7 Chiefs team to a Bengals team on the verge of reaching the playoffs.”
This type of story is unfortunately nothing new. In fact, male athletes’ violence against women has been a problem for a long time.
